The Last Two Weeks… Part II.

Good day people…

So here’s the not-so-good gist.

After that exciting weekend, I was dreading the next week. I knew I was going to have to face real life and all the problems that come with it.

You see, for a while now, I’ve had a erm… let’s call it a “medical condition” or “health issue”. I could’ve done something about it months ago but being a true procrastinator, I kept putting it off. And I’ll admit that I was scared. I was afraid to go to the hospital and hear the doctor tell me rubbish. I felt fine anyways, even though I knew something was wrong…

The funny thing is, I never used to be scared of hospitals… in fact, growing up, I used to get excited whenever I got sick cos I grew up in a house where we were caged in like lab rats. In fact, if not for Child Rights organizations, we would probably have been handcuffed as well… and it’s funny because I look at my parents now and I ask them (in my mind), “Did I not still sha spoil?“…

*smh*

Anyway, back then, a trip to the hospital meant an opportunity to actually go out. It meant going to some place other than church! Lol… In my defense, it was a cool hospital… kinda like a hotel. So I really don’t know when this fear of hospitals developed…

Recently, the erm… “medical condition” started getting worse and I made up my mind to deal with it AFTER my amazing weekend so that if I croaked, I would have cool stories to tell in hell heaven about seeing all those celebs.

I finally started medication on Wednesday and it pretty much kept me down the rest of the week. I can officially describe Thursday, Friday and Saturday as being the worst days of my life. By Friday and Saturday, I thought the end was near cos every time I shut my eyes, I saw a bright light… but the bright light was just my laptop. It was on 24/7, on my bed with me the whole time.

I spent my waking moments watching seasons I to III of Game of Thrones. I usually don’t like those unrealistic fantasy movies or shows… that’s why I still haven’t watched any one of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. But since there has been so much noise about this series, I decided to give it a try… by the end of the first episode, I was hooked. I really enjoyed it, even though I think the season III finale was stupid. Half the cast is dead! Doesn’t make sense…

Oh, and I LOVE Lord Tyrion (Peter Dinklage’s character). He is my bestest part of the show…

A lot of people have complained about the violence. I didn’t mind it at all… I quite liked it actually. What I don’t get though is how nobody ever takes a bath in Westeros. They’ve got people banging each other all day every day and yet no one takes a bath. Only the queen looks clean… And another thing; how come all the women are slim with nice perky tits? We all know that life is not that fair!

Anyway, that’s how I spent my days, in bed watching GOT, ignoring phone calls and stalking people on the internet. My brother was hardly home, but when he was there, he served as my Lucozade Boost fetcher, credits buyer, laptop charger and all-round errand boy.

By Sunday, I started to feel much better. I even made a nice lunch and did some laundry. It’s been getting better ever since… and I think I’m fixed now. I’m still supposed to go to the hospital to make sure everything is good as new once again. Whatever…

While I was writing this, I tried to put myself in your shoes… what I would think if I were reading this on someone else’s blog? I would probably think two things;

1. What kind of dumbass self-medicates in this day and age?

2. Why the hell is she telling us if she’s not gonna spill the details?! She might as well tell us everything.

So…

1. I didn’t self-medicate. I Googled my symptoms and saw the name of the “medical condition” on a website called www.wetindeyworryme.com 😀

I’m just kidding.

I got the go ahead from my doctor friend. He has known about it for a while now…

2. As for the details, they aren’t ever gonna come… I just felt I had to explain why I’ve been gone a while :p

But I’m good now… it doesn’t seem like my dad is gonna get his wish and I’ll drop dead any time soon. If I do, I just wanna state here and now that my sister, Nne, is to inherit all my debts.

See ya tomorrow 😉

    • My dear, it seems all the people I have been laughing at have finally gathered against me…
but I’m much berra now sha. I need a holiday…

  1. Poor Nne I pray for your sake that this crazy baby sister of yours doesn’t die soon. @ Ngozi thank God you’re almost as good as new. Get better ok!!! Love you hun!

    • Love you too Orbs… I was so happy when I saw your comment!!! Yeah, I’m good now.
Nne will be fine, don’t worry 😀

  2. Lol! At Nne’s inheritance

  3. Awww Stella… *dreamy eyes*

  4. hmmmmmm….. *clears throat*

    1) About your sickness, I hope you follow the proper medication and get well soonest. I’m not interested in knowing what it is, as long as it’s not e-transferable (via this blog or TNC or twitter)

    2) I know how you feel about being a locked-up kid. I experienced the same thing as a kid too. My siblings and I called our compound ‘prison’. It affected my social development, as I find it hard to socialize even now. 🙁 But I dey manage am sha. And there’s usually some sort of glee in my heart when my parents are disappointed that I’m not following their well-planned path of a good son. x_x

    3) LMFAOOOOO @ “every time I shut my eyes, I saw a bright light… but the bright light was just my laptop. ”

    4) I’m not a fan of fantasy too. I’ve resisted this GoT series for a long time, and I will continue to avoid it. I will only watch it if a babe uses it to seduce me, and she will have to work hard. -__-

    5) *yawns*

    • LMAO!!! Got me laughing like a mad woman in the middle of the night!!! Ifeanyi,
      1. Don’t worry, it’s not e-transferable… smh… didn’t know there was such a thing!!

      2. Some sort of glee?? For me, there is PLENTY of glee when my mum asks my sister (the fear of Jah has given her enough wisdom not to ask me herself) whether or not I’m “seeing” anyone… It’s starting to worry her. It’s a lesson to all parents; if your daughter is not as hot as Rapunzel, and if she has only three strands of nappy hair that wont reach the window sill of the tower she’s locked up in, ain’t no nigga gonna go the extra mile, climbing towers and shii… *smh*

But on a serious note, we have to break out of it… managing am small small just won’t do. Lord knows I’m trying, but sometimes it feels like hard work joor 🙁

      4. To be honest, Peter Dinklage makes the show for me… and I love their dialogue. It’s smart and witty. But if it’s not your thing, abeg leave it o… Why should a girl have to work so hard just to collect? 😉

  5. Wow,t.g for this post cus i was just about orchestrating a riot similar(mayb more) to that in egypt when i got tired of waiting.i used that naughty ‘contact me’ thang, guess it didnt deliver,
    pls do take a holiday,except u’v discovered a way of blogging 4rm 6-feet under…
If not…ur drugs n a hawaii ticket now please…u know we loff u!

    • Darling… or should I say blogger follow follow?

Nnam, it delivered o! Twice sef… It made me laugh like mad, but it also put the fear of God in me and that was why I got my act together and started writing. Especially when I saw the part about a blogger on his death bed!!
Meanwhile, that holiday idea is not a bad one AT ALL. I love Hawaii but I’m not greedy. Even some days in Southern Sun, Ikoyi, would do just fine.

ps- Thanks so much dear… really. :-*

  6. Aww,rly glad u got back up,u make me feel like i resurrected sumone*blush
    THE END
*looks around*no that wasnt the end, that was to lose em,
em,*coughs,u know that big-headed spacyzuma boy uhn,(side-eye zuma)seee i know him from our village @ tnc and oh yes he is a very bad boy o! Cos i see u both have been ‘gel-ing’ over the last 2-3 awesome posts’comments.,u see sister ngo, some little birds even tol me he comes from a long line of wicked babalawos/dibias(those ones we once saw in igbo movies with painted faces) of which he himself is one..+ he dosent even drive a maserati(the standard!)….amean he doesnt like Got! Thats proof he’s evuuul!*sigh
Uhm @ifeanyi,my name isnt laolu o i only do the typing, infact i’m a blog-o-bot so u see ur juju cant do me nutn*picks race

    • ROTFLMAO!! You know him from your TNC village abi? I hope he sees this… you’re a real trouble maker!!
I don’t think Ify is a bad boy na… and I don’t know how big his head is. He has a hat on in most of his pictures… kinda like Neyo or Banky W.
It’s his not liking GOT that I don’t get sha…

      • 😀
Yes, I’m not a bad boy o. I’m actually a good guy, just not in the way that most Nigerians expect a good guy to be. Like I’m not religious, I’m quite kinky/pervy in my yarns, I like to go against the crowd, I can be profane/vulgar etc.

About GoT, not that I don’t like it…I haven’t even seen a single video or trailer of it…It’s just that all the buzz about it is putting me off. After all the buzz of Spartacus, I watched 2 episodes and swore off it. GoT sounds like another Spartacus to me.

PS…I can’t believe the era of my life has come where I will refuse to watch a film or tv series with lots of nudity. smh…So this is what maturity (aka old age) feels like. smh
        smh…
        sm…
        s….

        :'(

    • In Zebrudaya’s voice: “Shineke Gos savior my life!”

See as awon enemy trolls have left TNC and trailled me here o! So there’s nowhere I can go to speak my mind freely where they will not find me? Facebook, twitter, my blog, TNC, now HRC’s blog? hmmmm….*shakes fist*

Anyway, Laolu…I hope your race-picking has led to escape velocity. Don’t ever return to this planet.

  7. hehehe

Yeah, I’m feeling much better. Thanks luv… and Ibukun (my PC) is always by my side.

ps; I like how you respected yourself and left MTN out of the list :p

  8. Hian. just hole it dia. puh-lease. thou forgettest i am a doctor. from your previous blog posts, the way the medicine did you and your sudden attraction for game of thrones, i have spot-diagnosed your condition. you cant hide it from me that you were PREGNANT! yeeeeees. those 3 days were for labour and you delivered a bouncing baby boy in your bathroom! yeeeeeeees. and your broda was helping you with feeding bottle, not Lucozade boost. yeeeeeeeees. and that laundry was of baby napkin and bib! yeeeeeeees. and the baby daddy is called T-boy (Lord Tyron na just cover-up). Ngozi, tell the truth and shame the devil; i dey lie?????
nb: not sure yet what the bright light is about. maybe the baby peed in your eyes?

    • LMAO!!! PLEASE seek help!
What the hell does a sudden attraction for GOT have to do with pregnancy?? But yes, you are right… I was pregnant. But I did NOT deliver my son in the bathroom! And he enjoys Lucozade boost… And he uses Pampers not napkins… and I WISH his daddy was Tyrion. Instead, it was one very young boy who is with the United Nations Organisation. Na where I fall hand… smh…

ps- I reject 3 days labour!!! I didn’t do that to my mum, no child should do it to me.

    • LOOOOOOOOOOOOL. Funniest comment so far! LMFAO

  9. I have mastered the art of turning one blog post into 2. I read the main writeup then come back some days later to read the comments. Pathetic abi? Yeah I know. All this noise abt GOT, I tried it before oh but the sex scenes bored me. I’ll try again though. *Boston legal is still the greatest IMO* Get better though

    • Nah… not pathetic at all!
As for GOT, the sex scenes are just there. I like the dialogue and I love Lord Tyrion (the dwarf)… I know I’ve said it a million times.
      I’m better now though… thanks dear 😀

  10. I love this, just stumbled on you on twitter, already bookmarking this sitr
